Meet Frances Stewart - Maple Ridge Acres
Frances Stewart, is the owner and operator of Maple Ridge Acres Alpaca farm. She oversees every aspect of the business—from animal husbandry and farm operations to fibre production and the creative art of working with natural fibres.
The versatility and calm temperament of alpacas inspired Frances to raise these beautiful animals, while the luxurious quality of their fibre continues to be a rewarding part of the journey.
Maple Ridge also provides demonstrations and educational opportunities focused on alpaca farming, fibre processing, and the many steps involved in creating finished products.
Through this work, Frances hopes to help others appreciate the “labour of love” behind each item and understand the time, skill, and care that contribute to its quality and value.
