CHECK OUT THE ACTIVITIES EACH FARM HAS PLANNED!

Angora Springs
Angora Springs is celebrating the beginning of the cooler weather with a sheep shearing demonstration by expert shearer and teacher Rachel Duncan. The animals are shorn in the fall to allow them to grow some wool back before the winter comes.
Examples of the wool freshly shorn will be available for people to touch as well as wool that is washed and made into rovings and yarns will be available.
Two spinners, Lori and Cathy Hamilton, will be demonstrating spinning wool and are happy to answer any questions about this ancient art.
There will be two weaving looms set up for people to try the the craft of weaving with a combination of wool and cottons.
The picnic area will be set up with needle felting on wool. and kids and parents will have the opportunity to try this fascinating craft. Needles are sharp so parents are asked to supervise their children while engaged in the craft .
More woolen items from the resident sheep will be available to purchase including needle felting kits, rovings, woolen dryer balls and beautifully dyed yarns!
Home crafted jams from the fruits will be available again for purchase - but this fall there will be a tasting table to try the three jams! Strawberry Rhubarb, Rhubarb Ginger and Raspberry freezer jams will be available!!
Depending on Mother Nature, pick your own raspberries may be offered.
The resident two horses will be available to visit and pat, and free range chickens will be milling about , happy to take a piece of bread from you , and of course the sheep and angora goat will welcome you to the farm!
